Annette Lacey, the Director of Wine and Beverage at Lotus Group and WSET Educator, has been announced as a speaker at The Drinks Industry Show (DIS).
Annette will discuss "Why Education Must Be A Pillar of Your Drinks Business" together with Jude Mullins DipWSET, International Development Director- WSET UK. They will explore the research and practical experience that's shown how investment in education and training not only retains staff, but also elevates the customer experience and delivers higher sales and profits.
Annette's background is hospitality, particularly in fine dining restaurants. Her accomplishments include roles as head sommelier at Banc and sommelier at the three hat Marque and Claude's.
In 2001 she was selected as one of the participants in the inaugural Len Evans Tutorial, one of the most prestigious wine programmes in the country. In 2014 she won the Professional section of the Vin de Champagne Award in Australia.
Annette has completed the WSET Diploma in Wines and Spirits, and is currently studying to become a Master of Wine. She has been with the Sydney Wine Academy since 2007 and is an approved WSET assessor and trainer for all of the WSET courses.
Annette and Jude join the seminar program at DIS that kicks off on June 26 at Luna Park, with Giuseppe Minissale opening the sessions with an address that will focus on the issues and trends impacting the retail liquor sector.
